Tom Asimou ’98 says the USF School of Law better prepared him as a lawyer and advocate for his clients than his opposing counsels. And his results in the courtroom are the proof. Since founding Asimou & Associates in 2000 in Phoenix, he has a track record of successfully litigating cases involving multi-million dollar trusts and estates.
“USF law school was the best investment I ever made,” says Asimou, who joined the school’s Board of Governors in 2015. “It has paid me dividends, both economic and intellectually, that I couldn’t get any other way.”
His ties to the law school community, including lasting friendships, are what inspired Tom to include the USF School of Law in his estate plan. His generosity will create a scholarship for students from single parent families, like the one he came from.
“I could give money now, and I do, but it isn’t as much,” he says, “as what I can give later. I can be more generous later than I can now.”
We provide this information to illustrate the potential financial benefits of supporting USF. These illustrations should not be viewed as legal, accounting or other professional advice. We encourage our alumni and friends to consult with their own legal and tax advisors before completing a gift.
